V&A British Design 1948–2012: Innovation in the Modern Age

A fantastic new exhibition celebrating pioneering British design from 1948 to 2012 is running at the Victoria and Albert Museum, and I am keen to pop in for a look! 

Delving into the V&A's hidden treasures,  this exhibition highlights some of the most important moments in British postwar design history, and includes objects from fashion design, ceramics, graphics, photography, sculpture, product design, architecture, furniture and fine art.

I love anything that celebrates what we do best in this country and am sure I will be inspired....

Florentina Chandelier

The Florentina Chandelier is a fabulous example of the timeless & elegant approach to lighting design that Louise Bradley has perfected. The exquisite detailing in the hand-finished metal leaves combined with scattered highlights of crystal to reflect the light, make this a truly stunning piece. The chandelier is available in a range of sizes from five to eighteen 'arms', meaning it will work in rooms of all sizes!

Damien Hirst at the Tate Modern

I am going to see the Damien Hirst Exhibition at the Tate Modern, and I just cannot wait. Love or hate his work, he definitely gets our attention!

This mammoth retrospective brings together everything the public would expect from a Damien Hirst show (think pickled sharks and diamond encrusted skulls...) alongside other exhibits such as  'In and Out of Love (White Paintings and Live Butterflies)', a room full of live butterflies for the audience to interact with.

I am so excited to be able to go and see such a controversial, broad-ranging and dynamic art show right here in London, and would definitely encourage people to go and take a look.

Spring in our Steps...

This beautiful spring weather has everyone at Louise Bradley shrugging off their winter clothes and looking forward to longer days! 

Spring always inspires change, so we have completely rearranged the showroom to show off lots of lovely new products. As well as new items of furniture, we have many new accessories.

Louise has launched a range of exquisite leather goods, from document holders and iPad cases to note pads and files, all in a  beautiful mushroom leather. 

The new Olen Mirror (shown) is a fabulous example of Louise's take on classic contemporary design.

Christian Louboutin Exhibition at The Design Museum

I am very much looking forward to the 28th of March, and the opening of the Christian Louboutin Exhibition at the Design Museum. The exhibition will showcase twenty years of his work that has transformed the approach to high fashion shoe design. His mantra ‘to make shoes that are like jewels’ has resulted in worldwide adoration and recognition, and his iconic red glossy soled shoes are considered to be a fusion of craftsmanship, engineering and sculpture. They also look rather good too!

Dining Tables from Louise Bradley

Louise Bradley has designed a range of beautiful dining tables to suit every occasion - the collection ranges from contemporary rectangular tables such as the Montpelier (shown) that works equally well as a desk, to the very popular Cavendish, a highly lacquered oak dining table which is perfect for entertaining as it is square!
