Tim Walker at Somerset House

I have been looking forward to going to the exhibition of Tim Walker's photography at Somerset House ever since it was first announced! A showcase of Tim's magical take on the genre of fashion photography, it includes fashion magazine editorial, portraits and personal work. The show is being staged with a quintessentially British fashion favourite of mine, Mulberry, whose campaigns Walker has shot for the past four seasons.

Tim Walker Story Teller, supported by Mulberry, runs from October 18 - January 27, 2013 at Somerset House, London.

Valentino exhibition at Somerset House.

Before the Christmas rush turns London into a shopping frenzy, I am looking forward to seeing the Valentino exhibition at Somerset House.
Celebrating the life and work of Valentino, the exhibition showcases over 130 exquisite haute couture designs worn by icons such as Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Grace Kelly, Sophia Loren and Gwyneth Paltrow, as well as photographs from Valentino's personal collection.
I adore seeing glimpses of the private lives of great designers, and this is another fabulous chance to get my fix...

The new pieces of furniture that were launched at Decorex are wowing visitors to Kimbolton Court this Autumn. The effortless and simple design of the distressed bronze frame, with the aged glass mirror, works so well in both contemporary or classic room schemes.

We obviously love every piece of the new furniture collection launched at Decorex last month, but a real stand-out item has to be the stunning Alexander Coffee Table. The aged bronze used for the frame is a major trend in interiors and furniture design, and the antiqued mirror top makes this a perfect table for both modern, minimalist rooms and more traditional spaces.

Saatchi gallery 'The Little Black Jacket'

After a very busy few months of completing installations and starting work on new ones, I am so looking forward to getting to the Saatchi gallery for 'The Little Black Jacket'.  An exhibition of photographs by Karl Lagerfeld of models, muses and celebrities in the iconic black Chanel jacket, it will be a wonderful way to spend an Autumn afternoon in London...

The exhibition will run from the 12th of October to the 4th of November 2012, at the Saatchi Gallery London SW3

Design Seminar, hosted by House & Garden with food from Ottolenghi

We welcomed the House & Garden team and many of their readers to the Kimbolton Court showroom on Tuesday. Louise shared some of her design secrets during the talk on Subtle Sophistication and answered questions before giving everyone a tour of the showroom and a glass of champagne. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the morning and it was deemed to have been a great success!

The Kimbolton Court design studio and showroom will be closed this morning for the first in a series of events for selected members of the public. Today sees a collaboration between Louise Bradley and House & Garden magazine, with delicious food from Ottolenghi.

The Winnington Chair - Launched at Decorex

We have had a very successful Decorex 2012! The stand looked beautiful and was very well received by the press and industry figures. We are inundated with enquiries and ongoing installations now though, so back to reality with a bump!

We are all very busy and getting excited here at Kimbolton because we are exhibiting at Decorex for the first time and it is only a matter of days away...

London Fashion Week

I have been watching the catwalk shows at London Fashion Week,  and was enchanted by the elegance of the Temperley SS13 show yesterday. Held in the fitting surroundings of the Connaught Ballroom, the collection paid homage to 1950s Hollywood glamour with nipped in waists and full skirts, and  I adored it! Glamorous fashion and glamorous interiors are most definitely a wonderful combination..

Decorex

We are starting to get excited about Decorex and loving seeing the new products arriving! Our new sofa is already a favourite with everyone in the showroom.

Still busy completing four installations before Decorex so lots going on this week!

The London Design Festival at the V&A

Starting this week, the V&A will become the hub of the London Design Festival 2012 for ten wonderful days of events and exhibitions. I am so looking forward to popping in to take in some of the displays over the next few days, as well as seeing parts of the museum only open to festival goers!

The London Festival of Design runs from the 14th to the 23rd of September across London, including the Victoria and Albert museum.

Louise Bradley Furniture Collection: Lamps

It will not be long until we will need to switch on lamps and light candles to fight off the darker evenings - summer is starting to draw to a close! We think that the Chrome and Jade Tassel lamp from Louise Bradley is such an elegant statement piece that you will almost want the nights to close in a little quicker...

London Paralympics

Like the overwhelming majority of other Londoners, I loved the Olympics and was so proud of London, the volunteers and Team GB. After a quieter couple of weeks, I am looking forward to the Paralympics, and hope that it will inspire people and show the city off in the same way the Olympics did!

The Hampton Sofa

Having a busy but productive week - finishing and installing two beautiful homes in London. Wonderful when a project comes to a successful end and looks great!

Our interior design projects are a fantastic showcase for the Louise Bradley furniture collection, and a finished home is the perfect opportunity to shoot furniture in situ. However until they have been professionally shot, we shall just have to whet your appetite with a cut out of one of the stand out pieces from Louise's sofa range. The Hampton sofa is a perfect blend of classic and contemporary design, and will surely bring a touch of glamour to any room!

London 2012

I am genuinely looking forward to The Olympics and can feel the excitement building in London. I know it will be busy and not so easy to travel around, but what an amazing showcase for our country. I have always loved the buzz in London and I hope the next few weeks will show just what a great place we live and work in!

Masterpiece London

I am looking forward to popping out of the showroom this week to visit Masterpiece London, a wonderful fair in the grounds of Chelsea Hospital specialising in art, antiques and design of the highest calibre. I have never been before and cannot wait to view some of the exhibits, and learn from the world’s leading luminaries in the fields on show.

As it is supposed to be summer and yet the weather in the UK seems determined to stay wet and windy, we thought we would tease you with this very chic pool area from a project we have just completed somewhere rather warmer than here... Enjoy!

Ballgowns at the V&A

If this unseasonal rain continues until the coming weekend I will be making my way to the Fashion Gallery at the V&A, which is currently playing host to an exhibition of some 80 ballgowns chosen to show the development of formal wear from debutante balls to celebrity events. Designers represented include some of my favourites - Alexander McQueen, Erdem and Stella McCartney - and there are royal gowns on display including Princess Diana's 'Elvis Dress'. It should be a great showcase of British design talent!
